Valleyside Barn is rustic with an industrial edge and has the ‘wow’ factor. Set in the beautiful Exe Valley, along a hedge-lined driveway and beyond a picturesque pond and gardens, you will arrive at this stunning barn. It features substantial wooden beams, black steel framework and includes a glazed bar leading to a terrace with views of the rolling hills of the Devon countryside. It provides a magical backdrop and flexibility to transform the dream and vision of your wedding day into reality.
 

Getting ready

The honeymoon suite is an elegant space with everything needed to feel relaxed and pampered as you get ready for your big day including a luxury bathroom, beauty station with large mirror, prosecco fridge and blue tooth sound system. We also have a separate dressing room available for the groom or partner.

The Ceremony
The most popular choice for the ceremony is outdoors in the Mediterranean-style courtyard, surrounded by fragrant honeysuckle and pretty jasmine. A modern and quirky gallery off the courtyard provides a Plan B in the event of rain and is equally as intimate. Alternatively, Bickleigh village has the charming St Mary’s Church which could provide an option for couples choosing a traditional church ceremony.

Reception, drinks and photos
To toast becoming a married couple, your reception drinks are served from the rustic bar adjacent to the courtyard. The pretty pond, with expansive weeping willow tree above the jetty and waterfall provides a magical backdrop to capture those all-important newlywed shots.

Wedding breakfast
The choice of menu is entirely yours giving you scope to host a banquet, a formal three-course meal or a more relaxed sharing-platter feast. The kitchen space is part of the package, and we can recommend some great local caterers.

Dancing the night away
Once the speeches and food are complete, we adapt the barn to accommodate a band or disco and set the scene and mood for the arrival of evening guests. Your evening reception can accommodate up to 180 guests. Evening food can range from a traditional buffet or a food truck – the choice is yours.
