Set amid 1,200 acres of rolling Cotswolds countryside, Sudeley offers breath-taking backdrops from romantic ruins to formal gardens, fountains, and pristine lawns framed by blooming flowerbeds and ancient yew hedges. The castle's rare charm captivates the heart and inspires memories to treasure forever.
 

Sudeley offers a limited number of wedding dates each year to make sure each couple receives our undivided care and attention. With many options available, we specialise in bespoke and one-of-a-kind celebrations. We’ll personally be on hand throughout the planning process and on the big day itself to ensure that you have an unforgettable and enchanting day.

Castle & Grounds

The estate boasts of beautiful statuesque ruins such as the Banqueting Hall, perfect for alfresco dining, or the Tithe Barn for intimate ceremonies. Intricate pathways between spaces are bordered by tall, shaped hedges, blooming flowers, and intricate flower beds to truly astonish your guests at every corner.

 

Ceremony venues

Sudeley has lots of opportunities for ceremony spaces ready to cater to your preferences. Host a blessing onsite in St. Mary’s Chapel, Katherine Parr’s eternal resting place, or a civil ceremony in our library or an outside ceremony on the Haha or in the Tithe Barn.
 

Wedding reception venues

The Orangery is a stunning modern extension to the castle’s exterior, which seats up to 150 for a stunning venue for dinner. For the evening party, our newly refurbished Castle Coach House has a huge bar ready to be fully stocked to serve all your wonderful guests all night long. The stone castle walls and floor create the perfect dance floor for all shoes and abilities. If you have a larger number or would like a marquee for the evening, this can be popped onto the north lawn and overlook the romantic Tithe Barn ruins and Carp Pond.
 

Accommodation

Sudeley works closely with Bolthole Retreats who manage self-catering cottages across the estate which sleep up to 90 people. Ranging from beautifully renovated ancient buildings, including a paper mill, an old forge, 18th-century workers’ cottages, to new cottages built in distinctive Cotswold stone, the Sudeley Castle Cottages and farmhouses are perfect for groups of three to 14 guests.

All the properties have been carefully and thoughtfully decorated and furnished, many come with gardens and are dog friendly.

Exclusive Hire
During the summer months, Sudeley is available for exclusive hire. The castle and grounds are closed to the public, offering you complete privacy for your celebration and access to private areas of the castle grounds for up to two days.
