Our Fabulous Barn!

Licensed to conduct civil ceremonies and partnerships both inside and out, Stockbridge Farm Barn is a truly wonderful place to get married and celebrate your wedding. The rustic barn, courtyard and surrounding landscape will captivate your guests and create memories to treasure for a lifetime. It really is a venue to fall in LOVE with!

 

Our wonderful barn is absolutely beautiful - traditional, rustic and timeless. It retains many of its original features and exudes character and charm. Fabulous flower wheels are suspended from the exposed wooden beams and it is beautifully and tastefully lit with soft up-lighting and festoon lights criss-crossing the vaulted ceiling. It is carpeted throughout, with a spacious 18ft.2 wooden dance floor, so you really can dance the night away and celebrate in style!

We can seat up to 180 people comfortably inside the barn, or for larger celebrations and events, you might like to add an adjoining marquee. Catering

When it comes to catering, we offer total flexibility. We have hosted weddings with Hog Roasts, BBQs, pizza and ice-cream vans! Whatever your catering preference, rest assured there are ample facilities with a spacious fully equipped kitchen adjacent to the Barn. You are very welcome to source your own caterers, or you might like to have a look at some of our recommended suppliers here.

 

Bar & Snug

We also have the most wonderful separate Bar & Snug adjoining the barn – perfect for providing your guests with the tipple of their choice or fizz and cocktails!

Outside Space

The idyllic courtyard, filled with greenery and flowers in the spring and summer months, provides a romantic outside space for your Ceremony and offers a wonderful area for your guests to gather, enjoy drinks and canapés, or to simply relax long into the evening before those all-important ‘sparkler send-offs’ bring your special day to a close.

 

The courtyard also provides the most amazing photographic opportunity with the Barn as a stunning backdrop, and as night falls it is beautifully illuminated with fairy & festoon lighting.

 

You might also like to make use of our beautifully planted flower garden located in front of the farmhouse for your portrait and family group photos. Wander just a little further and you will be in the breathtakingly beautiful Dorset countryside surrounding the Barn, providing countless opportunities for those all-important romantic newly-wed photos. If you are thinking about including outdoor entertainment for your guests, we also have a large grassed area to the side of the barn which provides the most perfect space for festival or carnival themed wedding games – from skittles to coconut shies and croquet!

 

Parking
Whatever the size of your wedding or event, rest assured we have ample parking on site.

 

Toilets

Working in collaboration with ‘Stockbridge Huts’, we are delighted to be able to offer you the opportunity to hire the perfect solution to the ‘smallest room’ for your wedding. We have a delightful purpose built, fully plumbed Shepherd's Hut situated on site, housing three ladies toilets and one gent’s toilet, with two urinals. With top of the range fittings we think you will agree, these are so much more than your average mobile toilet unit!

 

​Accommodation

We have two wonderful bespoke wooden Shepherds Huts on site, together with a beautifully converted ‘Milking Parlour’. Many of our couples choose to book the Parlour as a ‘Bride’s Room’.
